The brief
The owners had grown The Bramble from a market stall into a 30-seat café in two years. Their existing Wix site looked nothing like the room itself — generic stock photos, a buried menu, and no obvious way to book a table. Walk-ins were strong but they were missing the after-work and weekend booking traffic, and competitors with worse food were beating them on Google.
The approach
- 01
Photo-led design — commissioned a half-day shoot of the room, the food, and the staff. Hero photography drives every page.
- 02
Mobile-first layout — 78% of café searches happen on a phone within 500 metres of the venue. Menu and booking live one tap away.
- 03
Integrated booking via OpenTable embed, with availability shown on every page.
- 04
Local SEO — schema markup for opening hours, location, and menu items so Google can surface them in the Map Pack.
- 05
Weekly-changing 'this week' section the owners can update themselves from their phones via a simple admin.
